This September marks the 7th annual Camp 911. Over the past 6 years the students have learned safety techniques and how to get through emergency situations, knowledge they will keep for a lifetime. The following courses have been covered over the past years: fire safety, ambulance tour, bullying, fatal accidents, first aid, ATV safety, animal safety, machinery safety, calling 911, sparkler safety, stranger danger, seatbelt safety, preparing for emergencies, bicycle safety, electricity, poisons, scooters/skates/bikes and boards, railroad safety, and drug awareness. Camp 911 in 2012 will focus on Bicycle Safety. Each year the students receive a t-shirt, coloring books, crayons, stickers, 911 magnets, pencils, rulers, coupons from local business, and a reflective book bag. If enough donations are received this year each child will go home with a bicycle helmet too!

Taking Care of You: Powerful Tools for Caregiving is a six-week educational program where caregivers can learn to care for themselves while caring for another person. The program provides caregivers with the tools to increase their self-care and their ability and confidence to handle difficult situations, emotions, and decisions. Those who are caring for a relative or friend, who are raising a grandchild or who are helping with the care of a parent, spouse or friend who live at home, in a nursing home or across the country will benefit from this program.
