<p>A list of registrars and locations to register voters is available at the Clerk&#8217;s office. You may also register at the County Clerk&#8217;s Office, Administrative Center, 1001 E. Grant St., Watseka, Illinois from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday.</p>
<p>In order to be eligible to vote at the polls for the March 20, 2012 Primary Election, the last day to register in the County Clerk&#8217;s Office or with Deputy Registrars is Tuesday, February 21, 2012.</p>
<p>Absentee voting will be available beginning on or about February 9, 2012.</p>
<p>The last day to absentee vote in the County Clerk&#8217;s office before the March 20, 2012 Primary Election is March 19, 2012.</p>
<p>Handicapped and elderly may also vote at their polling place not accessible to them, by requesting a special application from the County Clerk&#8217;s Office. Election Judges will assist voters who have properly applied for &#8220;Curbside Voting&#8221;. Election judges are available to provide assistance when needed if a friend or relative cannot assist the voter at the polls.</p>

Office hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.</p>
<p><font color="#0080FF">The last day to file</font> the necessary papers in the County Clerk&#8217;s Office is <font color="#0080FF">Monday, December 5, 2011 at 5:00 p.m.</font></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Lisa Fancher, Iroquois County Clerk, has announced petition circulation for established parties and filing dates for the March 20, 2012 Primary Election.</p>
<p>Candidates for established parties began circulating nominating petitions on September 6, 2011.  The filing dates for the March 20, 2012 Primary are November 28- December 5, 2011 for established party candidates. The County Clerk&#8217;s office will be accepting filings from 8:30 a.m. &#8211; 4:30 p.m. Monday &#8211; Friday.  On the last day, Monday, December 5th, the office will be open until 5:00 p.m. to accept filings.</p>
<p>Federal officers to be nominated at the March Primary are President of the United States, Representatives in Congress, State Senators and Representatives in the General Assembly.  Supreme, Appellate and Circuit Judges will also be nominated to fill vacancies, if required.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>County Clerk Lisa Fancher announced you may now vote in person for the upcoming April 5, 2011 Consolidated Election at the County Clerk&#8217;s Office or request an absentee ballot application, in which you verify your home address, or provide an address to which you would like to have your absentee ballot mailed, if different from your residential address.  Applications to vote absentee are now available on the County&#8217;s website. The website address is: <a href="http://www.co.iroquois.il.us">www.co.iroquois.il.us</a>.  Please print out the form, fill out the information and mail in to the County Clerk&#8217;s office.</p>
<p>The deadline for receiving completed signed applications by mail is Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 4:30 P.M. All ballots returned to the County Clerk&#8217;s Office by mail which are postmarked by midnight on April 4th are eligible to be counted as long as they are received no later than 14 days after the election.</p>
<p>A registered voter is entitled to vote absentee in person at the County Clerk&#8217;s office until 4:30 P.M. on Monday, April 4, 2011.</p>

<p><strong>Early Voting Scheduled For Iroquois County</strong></p>
<p>Lisa L. Fancher has announced that the County Clerk&#8217;s office will be open for Early Voting.  Registered voters are eligible to vote early if they prefer, in the County Clerk&#8217;s Office for the April 5, 2011 Consolidated Election.</p>
<p>Early voting was created to allow Iroquois County voters to cast a ballot prior to Election Day without having to provide a reason for wanting to vote early.</p>
<p>Early Voting will be held March 14 -31, 2011 in the office of the County Clerk weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Registered voters casting an early ballot must display valid identification such as a driver&#8217;s license or state-issued ID card.</p>

<p><strong>GRACE PERIOD REGISTRATION AND VOTING</strong></p>
<p>Lisa L. Fancher has announced that the County Clerk&#8217;s office will be open for Grace Period Registration and Voting on March 9th &#8211; 29th, 2011.</p>
<p>During this grace period, an unregistered qualified elector may register to vote and also a registered voter may submit a change of address form in person at the County Clerk&#8217;s office.</p>
<p>Also if a voter registers or changes an address during this grace period and wishes to vote at the April 5th Consolidated Election, he or she must do so by grace period voting in person at the County Clerk&#8217;s Office.</p>

<p>People may register in the Iroquois County Clerk&#8217;s Office weekdays between 8:30 A.M. and 4:30 P.M.  In addition, they may register in the office of their village or township clerk, with their precinct committeeman or voter registrar in their precinct.  For the name of a registrar near you please call the County Clerk&#8217;s office at 815-432-6960.</p>
<p>To register, County Clerk Fancher reminds people to bring at least two forms of identification such as a driver&#8217;s license, social security card, utility bill, employer or student identification, credit card, birth certificate or naturalization papers, with your name and one article must show your current living or 911 address.</p>
<p>To change your address, you may either go to the County Clerk&#8217;s Office or mail in your voter&#8217;s registration card with your new address, which must be received by March 8th in the County Clerk&#8217;s Office in order to meet the deadline.  Those who have changed their name by marriage since they last voted, will need to re-register.</p>

<p>A list of registrars and locations to register voters is available at the Clerk&#8217;s office. You may also register at the County Clerk&#8217;s Office, Administrative Center, 1001 E. Grant St., Watseka, Illinois from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday.</p>
<p>In order to be eligible to vote at the polls for the April 5, 2011 Consolidated Election, the last day to register in the County Clerk&#8217;s Office or with Deputy Registrars is Tuesday, March 8, 2011.</p>

<p>Absentee voting will be available beginning on or about February 24, 2011.</p>
<p>The last day to absentee vote in the County Clerk&#8217;s office before the April 5, 2011 Consolidated Election is April 4, 2011.</p>
<p>Handicapped and elderly may also vote at their polling place not accessible to them, by requesting a special application from the County Clerk&#8217;s Office. Election Judges will assist voters who have properly applied for &#8220;Curbside Voting&#8221;. Election judges are available to provide assistance when needed if a friend or relative cannot assist the voter at the polls.</p>
