Iroquois County is looking for an energetic, motivated individual to fill our full-time position of FINANCE DIRECTOR. The position will be responsible for the oversight of the core financial functions of the Iroquois County Government. Responsibilities include financial control oversight, analysis and development of budgets and reporting, audit and grant compliance, payables and other transactional accounting, capital and IT asset planning, IT, insurance, human resources, etc. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a closely-related field is required. A concentration in accounting is essential. CPA designation is desired. Experience in governmental accounting or finance is preferred. The applicant must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and have the ability to work efficiently and independently. Salary is commensurate with experience.
