ICOM has an opening for a Full-Time Telecommunicator. ICOM 911 Communications Center is responsible for coordination of all police, fire and EMS services in Iroquois County.
Telecommunicators are required to make quick decisions; coordinate multiple tasks at one time, such as typing while listening and responding to phone and radio, be courteous, calm and professional. Must have common sense and the ability to maintain control of a situation.
REGUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least nineteen (19) years of age
- Willing to work different shifts
- Must be able to work Holidays
- Must pass drug screen and background checks
- Must be able to type 35 words per minute
- Live within 50 miles from 1001 East Grant, Watseka, Illinois
