County Treasurer, Mindy Kuntz Hagan, announced that mobile home tax bills were mailed Monday, March 1, 2010. The payment due date is May 5, 2010. Any payments that are not received or postmarked by May 5, 2010 will be charged a late fee. As required by the Illinois statutes, a $25.00 per month late fee not to exceed $100.00 will be charged.
The Treasurer’s Office is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Both coupons should be presented when making payments in person or by mail. Unpaid taxes will result in a lien being filed on the mobile home.
There is a drop box at the Administrative Center near the entrance of the 911 Center. Payments can be dropped off during non-office hours.
