Monday, October 26, 2009 is the first day for candidates of established political parties to file their nomination papers in the Iroquois County Clerk’s Office for the February 2, 2010 Primary Election. Office hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The last day to file the necessary papers in the County Clerk’s Office is Monday, November 2, 2009 at 5:00 p.m.
Offices to be nominated are County Clerk, Treasurer, and Sheriff. Other offices to be filled are 13 County Board Members. Precinct committeemen in all 37 precincts will be elected.
The following 13 County Board seats are up for election in five districts:
County Board District #1 – Kevin Hansen and Dale Schultz
County Board District #2 – Betty Busick, John Dowling, and Alan DeWitt
County Board District #3 – Adam Zumwalt, Harriett Mowrey, and Donna Wasmer
County Board District #4 – Beryl Luecke, Dennis Johnson, and Rod Copas
County Board District #5 – Donna Crow and Jim Hurt
